How does China SAC305 Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5 Lead Free Solder Wire Manufacturer make the solder?

1. Solder furnance to smelt the ingots. For lead free solder wire SAC305, we have to add 96.5% of tin ingot, and 3% of silver, and 0.5% of copper to get the correct composition of solder wire Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5. 

2. After that we will get the billet of solder in a cylindric form.

3. Put the cylindric lead free solder billet into the extruding machine to cast the solder into big wire diameter at around 9mm thick. During this process, the China manufacturer will add rosin flux in the core in case customer orders the flux core solder wire Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5.

4. The following next several steps are to cast the 9mm thick lead free solder wire into smaller wire diameter. Generally most wire diameters will be between 0.5mm to 3.2mm thick.

5. Last step is to wind the SAC305 solder wire into rolls (onto plastic reels), into weights like 100g/roll, 200g/roll, 500g/roll, 1000g/roll etc. Then we stick circular labels onto the reel & do packing.
