How to use 200g 454g 0.5 lb 1 lb 3mm 0.125'' Tin Lead Stained Glass Solder 60/40 50/50 40/60?
1. Generally a solid core stained glass solder without pre flux will be used. Thus it's necessary to prepare the flux suitable for stained glass soldering in separate, and apply proper amount of the flux on the copper foils (the joint area) before applying the stained glass solder 60/40 or stained glass solder 50/50 or stained glass 40/60 onto it.
2. Make sure the solder iron is hot enough. Stained glass solder 60/40 and 50/50 and 40/40 has different melting point, the stained glass solder 60/40 has the lowest melting point while 40/60 has the higher melting point, that means in the actual operation, it's easier to melt stained glass 60/40 which might be an easier work for green hands.
