2. Make sure the joint area of the plumbing pipes are well cleaned by sanded paper. Proper acid type of flux must be applied on the outer of copper pipe and inner of the fittings in order to make the soldering work. Heating by the torch gun from the bottom side of the copper pipe is more recommended than from the top side, then apply the 3mm plumbing solder wire or 0.125'' plumbing solder wire onto the joint.
