What does tin lead rosin core solder mean?

This is solder wire, that is made with tin & lead mixed together, and the wire is with a rosin based flux core embedded in the wire.

Parameters of tin lead rosin core solder:

1. Alloy: Tin & Lead. There are different compostions, such as Sn63Pb37 solder with 63% tin & 37% lead, Sn60Pb40 solder with 60% tin & 40% lead, Sn40Pb60 with 40% tin & 60% lead etc.

2. Rosin core: standard is 2% to 2.2% of the flux. Optional can be from 1% upto 3.3%.

3. Tin lead rosin core solder can be made into different wire diameter, from 0.5mm to 3.2mm, such as 1mm solder wire, 2mm solder wire, 3mm solder wire etc.

4. Applications: this type of solder is used for soldering electronics products.
