What is flux rosin core solder?

A flux rosin core solder is a wire solder that is made with a rosin based flux inside the center of the wire. We all know that to perform a soldering work, we have to use both the solder (the metal part) and the flux, because the flux is to help the solder alloy easily molten, flow and cover the soldering area, also it would clean the soldering area to make it easier for solder to stick on. A flux rosin core solder already have both solder and flux in one same product, it's convenient and handy to use. It enhances productivity and efficiency.

What is flux rosin core solder used for?

It's majorly used for soldering electronics products, and the rosin flux is very suitable for this application. Rosin is natural extract out of pine tree, it's a clear, a bit yellowish, crystal material that is with a neutral nature (non agressive), and to solder electronic products, we don't want a too agressive flux (let say acid basis flux) which might corrode the metal parts of the electronics. Flux rosin core solder requires no clean after soldering, because there is only little residue and transparent non agressive residue left, it's not necessary to remove these residue.
