Tin based solder

What does tin based solder mean?

Most solders are tin based solder, tin alloyed with other metals such as silver, copper, antimony, lead etc, depending on what application you are using it for. We can have lead free tin based solder such as Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5, Sn99.3Cu0.7, Sn95Sb5, or leaded tin based solder Sn63Pb37, Sn60Pb40 etc, to meet different applications.

Basic information of tin based solder:

1. Tin based solder can be in the form of solder wires, solder bars, solder paste. Solders are for manual soldering, solder bars are for dip or wave soldering, solder paste is for SMT soldering.

2. Solder wire can be made into different wire diameter from 0.2mm up to 3.2mm.

3. Solder bar is cast in bar form, each piece generally is 400g to 500g.

4. Packing: box & cartons.
