What is China alpha solder 60/40?

The alpha solder 60/40 is a typical solder alloy and one of the most widely used type for its excellent solder-ability, a lot of electrical workers or the plumbers prefer to work with this alloy. It's made of 60% tin (Sn) and 40% lead.

 

How many type of alpha solder 60/40 are available?

There're majorly 3 types of alpha solder 60/40, including alpha solder wire 60/40, alpha solder bar 60/40 and alpha solder paste 60/40. But in our factory XF Solder, we only produce and export the solder wire 60/40 and solder bar 60/40, because these two types can be stored and can be shipped, but the solder paste need to be stored and delivered in a cold-storage condition which makes it very difficult for export. 

For alpha solder wire 60/40 we make it with rosin flux core as standard choice, but optional we can make it with solid core. The difference is if you choose a rosin flux cored solder wire 60/40 you don't have to prepare flux in separate but if you choose a solid core wire solder you will have to apply external flux.

For alpha solder bar 60/40, we only have one form, that is bar form. And the alpha solder bar 60/40 is used for two applications: one is to be used for dip soldering or wave soldering of electronic components; the other one is to be used for soldering the seaming or joints of metal roofing, flashing, gutters.
