Description of XF kester bar solder:
The XF kester bar solder is a type of solder that is cast into bar form, consisted of different metals, majorly tin & lead, or tin & copper & silver. The tin & lead type is the most conventional composition of solder that has long existence in the market for its good solder-ability and economic cost, while the tin & copper & silver are lead free solder that is designed to replace the tin/lead alloy after ROHS regulation was published in year 2006.
How many types of XF kester bar solder are available?
Type one: Tin/Lead bar solder. The kester tin/lead bar solder can be made with different composition. Generally the percentage of tin content is from 63% down to 5%. Thus there're kester bar solder 63/37, kester bar solder 60/40, kester bar solder 50/50, kester bar solder 40/60, down to kester bar solder 5/95. The kester bar solder 63/37 is the eutectic alloy (with liquidus temperature and solidus temperature same) and considered as the best quality within the whole group.
Type two: Lead free bar solder. The lead free kester bar solder are available with SAC305 kester bar solder, SAC0307 kester bar solder, SAC07 kester bar solder. The SAC305 contains high content of silver at 3.0%, it has the best electrical conductivity, shearing strength and bonding strength.
What is the applications of XF kester bar solder?
The kester bar solder is majorly used for two applications: first one is for soldering of electrical components through dip solder or wave soldering technology; second option is to be used for soldering metals, such as to soldering and filling the joints of metal roofing, metal flashing, gutters etc, the metals can be copper, steel, aluminium.
