What is Resin Cored Solder?

Resin Cored Solder is a solder that is with a resin based flux inside the wire as a core, some people also call it rosin cored solder, it's the same product. Flux is a necessary material to help the solder well stick onto the solder area and form a good solder bead, without the flux, a solder won't be able to perform properly. Resin cored solder is a neutral flux that is not aggressive and non corrosive, generally after soldering, it's no need to remove the residue or called the cleaning. It's a handy solder for most general soldering work and there is no need to prepare external flux in particular.

What alloy can resin cored solder be available in?

Resin cored solder can be made into leaded solder wire or lead free solder wire. Such as leaded solder Sn63Pb37, Sn60Pb40, Sn40Pb60 etc, or lead free solder SAC305, SAC0307, SAC07 etc.
