What is bar solder 50 50?

Bar solder 50 50 is actually a tin & lead alloy solder, it's cast into bar form and composited of 50% tin & 50% lead by weight. This is one commonly used bar solder alloy besides bar solder 63 37 and bar solder 60 40.

What can bar solder 50 50 be used?

1. Bar solder 50 50 can be used for dip soldering or wave soldering of PCBA (PCB Assembly). It a bit cheaper comparing to bar solder 63 37 but qualit is reasonable, can meet most general quality manufacturing.

2. Bar solder 50 50 is also widely used for joining copper roofing, this is commonly seen in Western countries, as copper roofing is a traditional material, and bar solder 50 50 is used for weld two copper sheets together, or used for sealed up the copper flashing, gutter etc. Torch soldering gun will be used to perform such soldering work.
