What is lead free tin?

This type of tin doesn't contain the lead in it, technically speaking the lead contain inside the tin is very small that complies with ROHS standard to be smaller than 100ppm.

What is lead free tin used for?

It's a tin based solder that is used for electronics manufacturing or soldering of metals, known as soft soldering. Lead free tin can be cast into wire which is called solder wire, or cast into bars called solder bar. Lead free solder wire is used for manual soldering or robot soldering of electronics, or for plumbing copper pipes etc; lead free tin solder bar is used for dip soldering or wave soldering of PCB etc.
