What is 60/40 rosin solder in China?
This is a tin/lead alloy solder wire, made out of 60% tin and 40% lead measuring by weight, and it's equipped with a rosin flux core. See below photo, from the section of the solder wire, you can notice a small tiny hole which we called as the core, and it's stuffed with rosin flux inside which if you observe closely enough you will see some kind of white powder.
What are the features of 60/40 rosin solder in China?
1. Tin/Lead alloy 60/40 has property very close to eutectic solder alloy 63/37, actually we think these two composition don't have too much difference in most of the applications. They both have very small plastic range, easy to use. And 60/40 rosin solder is a tin lead alloy, basing on the feedback from the end users, the soldering effect of tin/lead alloy actually is better than the lead free ones. But it's due to lead was proven to be not good for human health thus in some applications the tin/lead rosin solder is banned.
